Project Address: Room 101, No. 94, Greenland Tiancheng, Lane 169, Jiatang Road, Jiading District, Shanghai
Building area: 185 square meters
Space reorganization
Adopting an open layout, non-load-bearing walls are removed to achieve an integra
ted living and dining area. The living room is extended visually by incorporating the balcony, while retaining the unique vertical zoning advantage of the stacked villa.
Material selection
The main materials are raw wood, white painted boards, and gray stone. The walls are finished with microcement to achieve a seamless effect, and metal lines are added locally to enhance the elegance.
Hierarchical functional planning
The lower level (activity area) is designed with functions such as a study, activity area, tea room, fitness area, and a private laundry room. The middle level (public area) includes a living room, dining room, and landscaped courtyard, with a double-sided parallel layout for the kitchen. The upper level (private area) features a master bedroom and a secondary bedroom, which are integrated with wardrobes and desks. A suspended design is adopted to reduce the sense of oppression, and tatami mats are used to achieve multi-functional storage and sleeping.
Detail optimization
The staircase is equipped with concealed storage cabinets, and the steps are embedded with light strips. The bathroom features a three-segregated design, equipped with a wall-mounted toilet and a linear floor drain. Flexible furniture is selected to accommodate the varying heights of the stacked villas.
Environmental integration
Natural light is introduced through large french windows, and the basement level is equipped with variable function rooms. The exterior walls are made of low-reflective stone to reduce light pollution.
